How to Change Minecraft Java Version
Switch your server's Java version (8, 11, 17) from the panel startup settings.
Changing the Java Version
Endercloud.in offers different versions of Java to suit your server. The default Java 17 or 11 (8 for Forge servers if you specified that when purchasing your server) will suit most people.
Steps
- 1Go to the Game Panel and select the server you want to change the Java version of
- 2On the left side, select Startup
- 3Find the Docker Version tab (usually on the top right of the page)
- 4Select the Java version you need from the dropdown
- 5Save and restart your server
Which Java Version Should I Use?
| Minecraft Version | Recommended Java |
|---|---|
| 1.18+ | Java 17 |
| 1.17 | Java 16 or 17 |
| 1.16.5 and below | Java 8 or 11 |
| Forge (older) | Java 8 |
> CAUTION: All Minecraft 1.18+ versions require Java 17 to work. Use the Java 17 option to use Java 17 on your server.
